How Does it Work?
The scheme is administered locally by a Board of Directors, comprising of representatives from the medical and nursing professions, the social work department, caring organisations and carers themselves and interested individuals, all of whom give of their time and expertise in a voluntary capacity.

The Care attendants work flexible hours to provide the assistance when it is most needed. Crossroads credibility lies in the calibre and training of oits staff, regular team meetings, support and supervision.

The Scheme currently receives financial support from Clackmannanshire Council via the social work department who purchase the care at the hourly unit cost.
Additionally, a Development Fund has been established by the Board of Directors which contributes substantially to meet the increasing demand for the Scheme.
In order to sustain the Development Fund, appeals are made to local trusts, businesses, clubs and charitable organisations. Fund raising events are organised by the Clackmannanshire Friends of Crossroads.
All funds are spent in providing help locally.
Crossroads in Clackmannanshire operates an open referral system to enable people who wish to receive the service outwith the statutory provision.
